Smart Solution has been in business since June of 1985.

Smart Solution was formed solely to serve the financial industry and has done so since June of 1985.

What is the variance in assets of your customers (caisse populaires and/or credit unions)?

Our smallest client has $650,000 in assets and our largest has $4 billion in assets.

What is the variance in the number of members served by your customers?

Our smallest client has 200 members and our largest has 70,000 members.

State the name of the companies supplying the hardware and operating system. State briefly why they were chosen.

The hardware used is the credit union’s choice. However, it needs to be industry standard and SCSI architecture. Unix is the system software (O/S) used.

State your policy regarding programs tailored or adapted to our credit union.

Smart Solution software is broken down into two parts. The core software consisting of the similarities among all credit unions, and the “modifiable” software. Smart Solution is a custom software provider.

What are the hours sold in the contract of the application software for?

Smart Solution provides contractually, hours required for training, conversion and general modifications. These contracted hours are based on the requirements and our experience of more than eighty installations. Any hours used beyond those stated in the contract are billable. Extra hours may be as a result of parameters unknown to either party at the time.

Location of hardware and software maintenance centres.

Smart Solution’s maintenance centre is located in Aurora, Ontario at 169 Edward  Street. Smart Solution provides off site support by modem connection and at customer location.

Hardware support can be provided by Smart Solution. However, sometimes a more local vendor is best equipped for the job.
